2. How do you usually respond when someone points out that something isn't working or that someone has been overlooked?

4. Read Acts 6:1-7. What problem does the church discover? What details stand out to you about how the community responds?

5. What do you think the apostles understood that helped them respond the way they did? What values seem to guide their decision?

6. How did the church respond to the concern that was raised? What does this story suggest about the role of change in helping the church remain faithful to its mission?

7. Read 1 Corinthians 12:4-7. What does Paul say about the Spirit and spiritual gifts? How could this help us understand why everyone has a role to play in the church? Where have you seen different gifts strengthen a community?
