1. What is something that easily distracts you: a cell phone notification, a task, a habit, a worry, or something else? What helps you refocus?
2. Have you ever had a season when you were busy and productive but still felt like something was missing? What helped you reconnect with what mattered most?
3. What part of the message, "Muscle Memory: How to Keep Focus in a World of Distraction," stayed with you? What did you want to discuss with others?
4. Read Luke 4:16-21. What details stand out to you about Jesus reading from Isaiah and describing his mission? What words or phrases catch your attention?
5. This is the beginning of Jesus' ministry. What does he say he was sent to do? Why do you think it was important for Jesus to clearly name his purpose? What can happen when we lose sight of our purpose?
6. If Jesus' mission shapes the mission of the church, what should the focus of a church be? What does that look like specifically and practically? What are some things that can distract churches from their purpose?
