Title: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

Text: 2 Timothy 4:1-5

1. Are you someone who enjoys silence and reflection, or do you usually prefer to keep some kind of noise, media, or activity going around you?

2. In your experience, what tends to keep people from paying attention to difficult truths: fear, busyness, comfort, distraction, or something else?

3. What image, phrase, or story from the message "Unbound: Fahrenheit 451" stayed with you? What did it make you want to talk more about?

4. Read 2 Timothy 4:1-5 aloud. What warnings or instructions stand out to you most in Paul's words to Timothy as being relevant for today?

5. Paul says that people sometimes turn away from truth in favor of what they want to hear. What kinds of voices or messages tend to shape what people believe is true today?

6. The message invites us to consider the difference between being informed, entertained, and shaped by what we hear and experience. How often do we stop to notice what is actually forming our assumptions, values, and attention?

7. Read Psalm 119:105 aloud. "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." What does it require of us to let truth actually guide our decisions rather than simply interest our minds?

8. Read Philippians 4:8 aloud. What does Paul say is worthy of our mindfulness? How can we become more intentional, as individuals and as a community, about choosing what receives our sustained attention?

9. Where in your life this week might you need to slow down, pay closer attention, or become more honest about something you would rather ignore?

10. How might your group pray for you this week as you seek clarity, wisdom, and deeper attentiveness?
