Text: Philippians 3:17-31

1. Are you someone who tends to say exactly what you think in most situations, or do you usually adjust what you say depending on who is in the room, while still trying to be true to yourself?

2. Can you think of a time when you felt caught between different expectations, loyalties, or social worlds and had to decide how much of yourself or your perspective to reveal?

3. What image, phrase, or story from the message "Unbound: The Hate U Give" stayed with you? What did it make you want to talk more about?

4. Read Philippians 3:17-21 aloud. What stands out to you in Paul's invitation to "join in imitating him" and to pay attention to those who live as faithful examples? What do you notice about the kind of life he is pointing toward?

5. Paul describes a tension between "earthly" ways of living and a different kind of citizenship. What does this passage suggest about how people of faith navigate life within systems and cultures that don't always reflect God's priorities?

6. Faithfulness often requires discernment, not just certainty. In light of this text, how do we learn when to follow a model of faithfulness, when to step back from cultural pressure, and when to live in a way that quietly but clearly resists what deforms life?

7. Read Galatians 3:27-29. What do you hear in Paul's claim that in Christ the usual boundaries that divide people no longer define us? Where do you see those boundaries still quietly shaping how people experience belonging in the church or in society?

8. Read Isaiah 58:6-10. Isaiah connects faithfulness with concrete practices of justice, care, and liberation. What stands out to you about the way this passage ties worship of God to the way we treat vulnerable or marginalized people? Where might this challenge how we think about "faithfulness" in everyday life?

9. Where in your life this week might you need wisdom to navigate a difficult truth, a divided loyalty, or a moment that requires more honesty than comfort?

10. How might your group pray for you this week as you seek wisdom, honesty, and faithfulness in complicated situations?
