Title: Delight

Text: Song of Solomon 1:1-4, 2:1-2

1. What's something small in life that reliably brings you delight? A favorite food? A place you love? A relationship? A hobby? A simple daily moment?

2. When someone gives you a genuine compliment, how do you usually respond? Do you soak it in? Laugh it off? Change the subject? Something else?

3. In the message Love, Actually: Delight, what stood out to you most? What idea, image or storyline did you want to discuss?

4. Read Song of Solomon 1:1-4 and 2:1-2. What details or images catch your attention? What do you notice about the language of longing, beauty and delight? Why might these images matter? What do they communicate?

5. In these verses, the two voices speak openly about admiration and desire. What do you notice about the way they express appreciation for one another? What might that teach us about acknowledging delight in all kinds of relationships?

6. The Song of Solomon celebrates delight rather than treating love as something to be restrained. Why do you think delight is such an important part of love?

7. Read Genesis 2:23-25. What do these verses suggest about the goodness and vulnerability of human relationships? How might this connect with the delight expressed in the Song of Solomon?

8. Read John 15:9-11. Jesus speaks about abiding in love so that our joy may be complete. What do you think Jesus means by "complete joy?" Where do you see that kind of joy or delight in your life?

9. Delight often emerges when we slow down enough to notice it. Where in your life might God be inviting you to pay closer attention to goodness, beauty or love this week?

10. How might this group pray for you as you seek to notice and experience more delight in the days ahead?
